VANDERBILT PASS RUSH CREATES GAME-WINNING TURNOVER

Final: Vanderbilt 35, NC State 31

The game’s deciding play was created by Vanderbilt’s defensive pressure.

With six seconds remaining and NC State attempting to run out the clock from its own end zone, Vanderbilt pass rusher Miles Capers reached the ball carrier and forced a fumble. The Commodores recovered the football in the end zone for the game-winning touchdown.

The forced fumble completed Vanderbilt’s comeback from a 17-point deficit and represented the most consequential defensive-front play of the college football weekend.
