The Starts Up Front National & Global Recruiting Board (SUFRB) is an independent evaluation, scouting, media and recruiting-exposure platform dedicated exclusively to offensive and defensive linemen. Our mission is to identify deserving trench athletes, provide credible evaluations and help unknown prospects become known names.
EVALUATION PROCESS
SUFRB evaluates athletes using available and verified information, including:• Live competition and camp performances
• Game film and verified highlight film
• Position-specific technique and fundamentals
• Athletic ability, movement and explosiveness
• Size, strength and physical development
• Competition level and quality of opponents
• Effort, discipline, consistency and coachability
• Academic standing when information is available
• Verified scholarship offers and commitments
• Long-term development and collegiate projection
OFFENSIVE LINE EVALUATION
Offensive linemen are evaluated in areas that include stance, footwork, balance, leverage, hand placement, punch timing, pass protection, run blocking, body control, recovery ability, football intelligence and positional versatility.DEFENSIVE LINE EVALUATIONDefensive linemen are evaluated in areas that include stance, first-step quickness, explosiveness, pad level, hand usage, block recognition, separation, pursuit effort, pass-rush ability, run defense, finishing ability and positional versatility.SCHOLARSHIP AND RECRUITING TIERSVerified scholarship evidence is considered as part of the ranking process. SUFRB generally organizes recruiting status using the following tiers:
Tier 1 — Verified Power Four scholarship recruitment
Tier 2 — Verified Group of Five/FBS scholarship recruitment
Tier 3 — Verified FCS scholarship recruitment
Tier 4 — Verified Division II, NAIA or comparable scholarship recruitment
Tier 5 — Provisional prospect without a publicly verified scholarship offer
An athlete’s offer total alone does not automatically determine his ranking. Film, performance, technique, competition level, physical development and long-term projection remain important parts of the evaluation.
SUFRB RANKING CATEGORIES
