Final: Toledo 49, Temple 48 — Overtime

Toledo’s offensive front protected a passing attack that generated 429 yards and four touchdowns. The Rockets scored twice within an 11-second span late in regulation to force overtime.

The Toledo line also created the space for a short overtime rushing touchdown that gave the Rockets a 49–42 lead.

Toledo’s defense produced a strip-sack during the second half, and the Rockets recovered the fumble. That takeaway led to a touchdown and Toledo’s first lead of the second half.

Temple finished with 425 total offensive yards. Toledo’s leading running back produced 71 yards from scrimmage and three touchdowns behind the Rockets’ blocking unit.
