OLE MISS FRONT CONTROLS EARLY ACTION AND SURVIVES LSU’S RESPONSE

Final: No. 8 Ole Miss 32, No. 7 LSU 24

Ole Miss established control at the line of scrimmage during the first half. At one stage, the Rebels had produced 214 total yards while holding LSU to 29.

The Ole Miss offensive front helped generate touchdown drives of 78, 92 and 75 yards before halftime. The Rebels later produced a 13-play, 75-yard fourth-quarter drive to regain the lead after LSU tied the game.

LSU’s defensive pressure created two important second-half plays. A third-down rush forced an interception, and LSU later recorded a sack that helped stop another Ole Miss possession.

The final trench statement belonged to Ole Miss. LSU reached the five-yard line during its final drive, but the Rebels’ front helped produce a fourth-down stop to secure the victory.
