Welcome Kenneth Johnson: 20 Years of Youth Development Impact to SUFRB as Texas State Director
The Starts Up Front National & Global Recruiting Board proudly recognizes Coach Kenneth “Ken” Johnson as its Texas State Director—a proven leader whose influence extends far beyond athletic competition.
For the past 20 years, Coach Johnson has dedicated himself to serving young people and families through Dallas Elite Track & Field, the nonprofit organization he leads as president. During his tenure, thousands of young athletes have become part of the Dallas Elite family and benefited from a program built upon academic excellence, discipline, character development, athletic achievement, and community responsibility.
Coach Johnson’s philosophy is grounded in the understanding that developing successful young people requires more than improving their performance on the track. His mission is to prepare student-athletes to succeed in the classroom, in competition, and throughout life. Through consistent mentorship, accountability, and high expectations, he has helped young people strengthen their confidence, leadership abilities, and commitment to excellence.
Under Coach Johnson’s leadership, more than 200 Dallas Elite student-athletes have earned track and field scholarships. These opportunities have allowed young people to continue their education while significantly reducing the financial burden of attending college. This remarkable record reflects Coach Johnson’s unwavering commitment to helping student-athletes transform their athletic ability into meaningful educational opportunities and brighter futures.
His impact has also been strengthened by an exceptional Dallas Elite coaching staff that shares his passion for mentoring and investing in young people. Together, they have created a culture in which athletes are challenged, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.
As Texas State Director for the Starts Up Front National & Global Recruiting Board, Coach Johnson brings two decades of leadership, youth development, talent evaluation, relationship-building, and scholarship-producing experience to the organization. His extensive connections throughout Texas will help SUFRB identify deserving offensive and defensive linemen, expand its statewide presence, strengthen relationships with coaches and families, and create greater exposure for athletes who may otherwise be overlooked.
Coach Johnson represents the core values of SUFRB: talent evaluation, character, opportunity, integrity, and the commitment to making unknown athletes known. His leadership will play an essential role in advancing the organization’s mission of becoming the national authority for offensive and defensive line evaluation, rankings, exposure, and recruiting development.
For 20 years, Coach Kenneth Johnson and Dallas Elite Track & Field have developed champions on the track, in the classroom, and throughout the community. Now, through his leadership with SUFRB, his impact will continue expanding across Texas and beyond.
